Outpost for Contemporary Art sosyal icerili calismalarini kamusal alanlara, gecici mekanlara tasiyian ve kollektif calisma metodlariyla yerel toplum ve global kultur arasinda bagdastiran Turk sanatci ve kuratorlerle baglanti kurmayi amaclamaktadir. Outpost belli temalar ve cografi bolgeler uzerine yogunlasarak gelistirdigi programlarinda yakin gelecekte Turkiye'yi ele almayi planlamaktadir. Outpost'un residency ve degis tokus programlari dahilinde bunyesine aldigi sanatci ve kuratorlere projelerini gerceklestirmek icin gerekli altyapi kurmasina ve ortaya cikan calismanin halka ve hedef izleyiciye ulasmasinda yardimci olmaktadir. We are asking for volunteers to interview audience on the street who come across the performance.If you would be willing to converse with others and record your conversation, please email Nancy Popp, and bring a field or voice recorder, or your iPhone. Popp will contact you to arrange to receive the recorded interview. -posted Sept 19
Looking for volunteers to translate (English-Turkish), scout locations, take photo, video, audio documentation, interview people on the street for Nancy Popp's performace that will take place on the streets of Istanbul between Sept 14-25 during the 12.th istanbul Biennial. -posted Sept 3
Outpost- CALL for artists
Outpost for Contemporary Art is currently interested in establishing connections with socially-engaged Turkish artists and curators who utilize public spaces, temporary venues, and collaborative methods of production to build bridges between local communities and the larger global landscapes. Outpost's programs are organized into thematic and geographic cycles to provide an extended focus on certain world regions and Turkish cycle is coming up. Outpost recruits artists and curators to participate in our residency and exchange program, which provides a framework to support and realize public distribution of their resulting work.
